My Background
Emerging artist and educator Celine started learning piano at the age of 4, and expanded her love of music by learning cello and flute alongside. Celine began her music education in her country of Malaysia and have won numerous world and national competitions with her band members such as honours and platinum awards in the Sultan Idris Education University National Wind Orchestra (2015-2017), Champion in Asian Junior Marching Band Competition (2016), and World Marching Show Band Competition (2017), Honours Platinum  in UTP- HUAZHONG National Music Arts Championship.Â
She then further her studies in Australia under the guidance of the late Dr. Vicky Yang, director and founder of Volteggiando Production and won first and second places in Enoggera, Brisbane, Ipswhich and Toowoomba Eisteddfods. As a graduating candidate of Bachelors of Music majoring in Classical Piano Performance at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, Celine is mentored by Professor Oleg Stepanov, artistic director and founder of the Lev Vlassenko piano competition and festival. She was awarded the Margeret Anne Kerrison Pianoforte Prize 2021 for full time second year students with the highest result in their piano performance examination.Â
Celine is also an experienced teacher with over 25 students, teaching part time at her growing studio in Sunnybank and Cleveland. She is looking forward to expand her studios in other subsurbs and other countries; giving opportunities to students especially to people that are talented but are not able to afford music lessons. In her spare time, Celine can be found taking care of her little plant nursery and creating macrame projects.Â
